The UTFORSK project foresees a change of focus from undergraduate to postgraduate student mobility and from semester/year exchanges to short-term stays in connection with summer schools and intensive courses.
During 2018-2020 10 students from Bergen will stay in Durban for up to 1 month each.
In 2018 five Master students from the University of Bergen attended a Winter (Summer) School at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban, South Africa. They were awarded scholarships within the framework of the UTFORSK Project. They followed two courses related to Development Studies: Political Economy of the Welfare State and Poverty and Sustainable Development.
